Fall 2025 Forum on Faculty AI User Experience Organized by Robin Naughton, Assistant Professor, Web & Digital Services Librarian Today, we are all experiencing the change that generative AI has brought into our personal and professional lives. As faculty, we are figuring out ways to address generative AI in our classrooms as it relates to our teaching, but we also need to address our own experience with generative AI in our daily life and work. Generative AI is not only changing writing courses, it is also changing daily work and life across all professions. https://www.qc.cuny.edu/library/2025/09/15/fall-2025-forum-on-faculty-ai-use... Forum I: Faculty AI Experience & the Library<https://qc-cuny.libcal.com/event/15260905?hs=a> * Date: September 29, 2025 * Time: 12:15pm – 1:30pm * Location: Rosenthal, President’s Conference Room #1 * More information here: https://qc-cuny.libcal.com/event/15260905?hs=a As part of a Forum on Faculty AI Experience, this first discussion will focus on learning more about the Queens College faculty experience of generative AI with a goal of helping librarians support the needs of the faculty as it relates to this new technology. The faculty, like the students, need support and opportunities to learn about this technology and its impact on their daily life and work. The discussion will be semi-structured, which will provide the flexibility for attendees to shape the conversation. Some basic guiding questions include: * In what ways has generative AI impacted your approach to work and life? * What resources would be beneficial to support faculty now and in the future? * How can the library help faculty to address changes in expectations of work as it relates to generative AI? By the end of the discussion, we will have a better sense of needs of the QC faculty and how to support them going forward.
