[Socrates] Scholarships for women in STEM

An organization called Media Ocean http://wit.mediaocean.com/ is offering $25,000 scholarships to women interested in careers in technology. The application consists of a 30-60 second video explaining the applicant’s interest, and is due July 1. Students interested in applying may do so directly at the above URL, but they may also contact Christopher Vickery<mailto:Christopher.Vickery@qc.cuny.edu> of the Computer Science Department or Eva Fernández<mailto:Eva.Fernandez@qc.cuny.edu> of the Center for Teaching and Learning to discuss strategies for creating the videos, some time before June 12.
