Dear Colleagues,

I hope this message finds you well.

It's that time of year again, when students are excitedly making plans for their postgraduate experiences, and we currently have a number of students, from a variety of fields and majors, working on applications for the Fulbright US Student Program, and so the Honors and Scholarships team is seeking volunteers to serve on the Fulbright US Student Program committee.

Faculty and staff volunteers provide valuable feedback to students to support them in strengthening their applications. The committee also evaluates the merits of the applications and determines the campus ranking of students. Volunteers will have the option to review applications (to give students actionable feedback) and/or support with campus interviews, which allow for a deeper dive into the project and support us in crafting our institutional nominations. I would anticipate volunteers, depending on capacity, might receive 2-3 applications to review and/or support in about 2 interviews. The applications will take approximately 15-20 minutes each to read and evaluate. The committee will meet once, for approximately 1 hour, between September 1st and September 30th.
