Good Morning! Yesterday's reminder did not include the original fliers. As they were sent out previously, they were omitted. For the sake of ease, please excuse this oversight. The fliers are attached here again for circulation purpsoes. We will resume our Sit N Write workshops officially starting Sept 6, 2024, at 10 AM. To help launch us, we will have a virtual morning workshop "Thriving in Times of Stress" with Dr. Roxanne Donovan of Kennesaw State University and founder of Well Academic<https://www.wellacademic.com/>. The workshop will focus on balancing the demands of the classroom while navigating a research and scholarship agenda. Dr. Donovan will explore hands-on techniques to manage competing demands, like those of teaching and scholarship, as well as work and family. Please plan to attend with writing utensils for long-hand exercises. Our time with Dr. Donovan will end and noon. We will break for lunch and then move to our annual "Every Semester Needs a Plan" working session. For those interested, we will view a step-by-step guide to planning out a balanced semester. For those interested in a head start on this, you may view : https://vimeo.com/133385186 . We will be using an updated version of this video. It is shared for practice purposes. Whether you attend via Zoom or in person, you are asked to register for the Zoom link. Once registered, you will receive our Sit n Write Intake form that will ask you to state your preference for in-person or virtual participation. We strongly encourage in-person participation where possible. Our September 6, 2024 workshop (by request of the facilitator) will be exclusively virtual. Attached are fliers for Sit n Write and "Thriving in Times of Stress." Please register no later than Noon on September 5, 2024, so that Dr. Donovan may have a head count for the Friday, September 6 workshop.
