Dear Colleagues, Please consider attending this workshop:
Using Google Docs as a tool of revision in Writing Intensive Courses
A Workshop Presented by Writing at Queens
Wednesday, February 14th, 10:00 AM-11:30AM
Queens Hall 330A
This workshop is specifically designed for teachers of Writing Intensives, where multiple drafts and peer editing are required of all formal writing. In it, we’ll suggest an organizational structure for the writing workshop that uses Google Docs, and explore the ways that peer revision and collaborative writing can be made more effective through this technology.
We’ll cover
· The basics of how to collaborate using Google Docs.
· Ethical questions that arise when using Google products.
· Moving peer revision outside the classroom with Google Docs.
· Models of Collaborative Writing.
· Free and open source alternatives to Google Docs.
