Dear all, I hope you have had enjoyable breaks. In these last weeks of the semester, I am organizing a number of information sessions for students at various stages of their academic careers about fellowships in a number of fields. Next week, we'll be focusing on a couple of major national awards for study, research or teaching after graduation. First, we'll discuss the Soros Fellowship which offers up to $90,000 for new Americans to pursue a graduate degree in any field at a U.S. institution. The director of the program will be presenting its benefits and describing the application process. Date: Monday, April 20th Time: 12:15-1:30 Location: Honors Hall Rm. 17 Then on Wednesday, we'll be joined by a former Fulbright program officer who will discuss the many opportunities for overseas study, research and English teaching available through the Fulbright program. Date: Wednesday, April 22nd Time: 12:15-1:30 Location: Honors Hall Rm. 17 Students have been emailed about these events, but I would very much appreciate it if you would encourage your students to attend. I think a personal invitation is very helpful to students. Best, Moira Moira E.
