The Open & Digital Pedagogy Workshop Series will offer guidance for teaching with CUNY’s university-wide open platforms, the CUNY
Academic Commons and Manifold.
These workshops aim to provide support for faculty who are looking for opportunities to increase the openness of their teaching by developing innovative assignments and exploring new digital tools. Workshops will share strategies for fostering student engagement
on the Commons, developing and assigning digital projects, teaching with social annotation, engaging in ungrading, designing digital art, and creating OER.
Workshops are offered through the Graduate Center’s Teaching and Learning Center and GC Digital Initiatives. The workshops are open to all CUNY instructors, staff, and graduate student instructors. The sessions will be geared towards faculty who have some knowledge
or experience working with the open platforms.
All workshops will be held virtually on Zoom and a link will be sent out prior to each event.
