A call for participants was released today for two workshops this summer to prepare faculty interested in teaching courses as fully online or as hybrids (partially online). The workshops cover a range of objectives relevant to designing and teaching courses with online components. The time commitment is about 10 hours total; faculty who complete all modules in the workshops are compensated for 10 hours at their non-teaching-adjunct (NTA) rate. Feedback from Queens College faculty who have participated in these in the past has been very positive. The two workshops are completely online, participants can choose between the following dates: * June 18 to July 1st * July 9 to July 22 For more details, and to apply: http://cunyonline.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ Please note: 1. Faculty who have already completed one of these workshops and received payment in the past are not eligible to participate again. 2. The workshop organizers will seek out the approval of applicants' chair or immediate supervisor, so please consult with your department chair before applying. The Center for Teaching & Learning will arrange for approval from the Provost for all Queens College applicants. Please let me know if you have any questions. Best wishes, Eva. Eva M.
