Learning Catalytics, a “bring your own device” student engagement, assessment, and classroom intelligence system

The presentation will be given by representatives of Pearson Education:

Learning Catalytics has grown out of twenty years of cutting-edge research, innovation, and implementation of interactive teaching and peer instruction spearheaded by Eric Mazur at Harvard University.

With Learning Catalytics you can:

• Use open-ended questions to get into the minds of students to understand what they do or don’t know and adjust lectures accordingly.

• Use a wide variety of question types to sketch a graph, draw a vector, annotate a map or art, highlight a passage, compose text, compute a numeric or algebraic answer, and more.

• Access rich analytics to understand student performance.

• Add your own questions to make Learning Catalytics fit your course exactly.

• Manage student interactions with intelligent grouping and timing.

• Assess and improve students’ critical-thinking skills.
