State of a Union

The Institute for Language Education in Transcultural Context (ILETC) is pleased to co-sponsor the Queens Consortium on LOTE’s Second Conference, Teaching Language, Teaching Literature: State of a Union to be held on May 6th, 2013 at CUNY, The Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue, New York.

The confirmed keynote speaker is Rosemary G. Feal, Executive Director of the MLA.

Among suggested topics are all perspectives on the theme and best practices at the level of the Institution, the Department, the Curriculum or the Classroom. Proposals for individual presentations, workshops or complete panels should be submitted electronically as a single file (.doc, .docx, or .pdf) to LOTEproposals@qc.cuny.edu before March 24^th, 2013, at 12 noon. A complete proposal includes name(s), institutional affiliation(s) and email address(es), title, and abstract of no more than 300 words.

Receipt of proposals will be acknowledged within 24 hours, and acceptance no later than March 31st.
