This 3-part workshop series is designed to create a safe and reflective space for faculty members to engage with their experiences both within and beyond the classroom. The Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (CETLL) presents Revisiting Writing In Our Classrooms, a series of three workshops focusing on the pedagogy of academic writing (Spring 2024). Designing Writing Assignments with Purpose – 2/26/2024 Register: https://forms.office.com/r/UmxuyCDz2r In this workshop, we will reflect on our writing assignments with an eye towards sharing, revising, and refining them. We’ll discuss principles for creating purposeful and accessible writing assignments that help students learn disciplinary expectations and genre conventions and the influence of generative AI on our assignments. We’ll also discuss scaffolding and other techniques to help coherently organize a sequence of writing assignments. The Honors and Scholarships team is seeking volunteers to serve on the Scholarships Review committee. Through the generosity of our QC alumni and the QC Foundation, we will be able to provide support to many students seeking financial support. However, to do this effectively and within a very small timeframe, we need your help! The Honors and Scholarships team is seeking25+ volunteers to serve on the QC Foundation Scholarships Application Review Committee. Collectively, the committee will have the opportunity to review over 900+ applications. We will no longer use Blackboard. Blackboard courses from 2022-2024 are being automatically migrated to Brightspace. Please note that this process does not include migrating any Blackboard Collaborate Ultra recordings; faculty are responsible for manually backing up those recordings.
