Dear QC Faculty and Staff, For those who are interested, the 19th annual IT Conference will convene virtually this fall. This event will bring together faculty and administration from across the CUNY system to discuss IT. This year’s theme will be, “The Next or New Normal?” This conference will give the stakeholders from across CUNY a chance to discuss the pedagogical, social, and economic effect of the pandemic, including the switch to online education and how it both presented new opportunities and exacerbated existing inequalities. On behalf of the Queens College Office of Institutional Effectiveness: ANNY's 9th Annual Conference "Assessment Refocused" Virtual Conference APRIL 19-20, 2021 **Call for Proposals** **All proposals are due by January 8, 2021.** The Assessment Network of New York (ANNY) is pleased to invite proposals for our virtual annual assessment conference. The theme for the 2021 annual conference is “assessment refocused.” With all that has happened this past year, there is a need to reflect on and refocus assessment. We welcome presentations that look at assessment through a new lens, focusing on the needs of students, supporting strong pedagogy, promoting equity, and planning for the future. This year’s call for proposals includes opportunities for participating in panel discussions, moderating roundtables, and poster sessions in addition to general presentation sessions. There are still openings for the following interactive group webinar series being offe?red by the Queens College Psychological Center in collaboration with the Center for Teaching & Learning: Keeping the Peace: Enhancing Interpersonal Relationships During Difficult Times In this interactive group webinar series, you will learn strategies to help you enhance relationships between you and your significant other, and between you and your children. The group will teach scientifically-informed skills to improve communication and conflict resolution with significant others and our children. We will learn to identify when to engage in conflict and how to engage in an effective, respectful, and nonjudgmental way. Each module will cover psychoeducation about the below topics and skills training involving group participation. Participants will be encouraged to review what they learned in session and engage in short exercises between sessions.
