I am pleased to invite nominations for this year's President's Awards and Grants. Decisions for the awards will be made in December, and recipients will be introduced at the Employee Recognition Ceremony to be held in March.

There are three categories of awards:

1. President's Award for Excellence in Teaching by Full-time Faculty

2. President's Award for Excellence in Teaching by Adjunct Faculty
3. President's Grants for Innovative Teaching Projects (open to all full-time faculty).

The deadline for nominations and applications is Friday, November 1. All that is required to make a nomination is to submit a letter that clearly indicates the reasons for the nomination. Separate committees will review nominations or applications for each award and make final recommendations directly to me.

Funding for these awards comes from the Queens College Foundation board of trustees. I am grateful for their continuing support.
