From President James Muyskens:

The CUNY Campaign for Voluntary Charitable Giving is a long-standing tradition in our community. It allows the entire university to come together and address critical health, human, and environmental challenges facing our neighbors in New York City and society at large. At a time when such challenges seem overwhelming, your donation to the CUNY Campaign counts more than ever.

The Power of One-the power of one person making one pledge to help others-is an extraordinary power that we all have within us. This year the CUNY Campaign makes it easier to use this power with a secure online e-pledge through EarthShare: https://www.giveattheoffice.org/_cuny. If you donated online last year, your information is saved on the website, but you must log in to make a pledge. All contributions are tax deductible.

Our Assistant Vice President of Human Resources and Administrative Services, Reinalda Medina, has volunteered to shepherd Queens College's participation in the 2013 CUNY Campaign. She will be assisted by Alice Pisciotta from the Office of the President, Justin Homer from the Office of Converging Technologies, Mary Ann Watch from the Office of the Provost, Tanya Ross from the Office of the Vice President of Finance and Administration, Maria Fosco from the Division of Student Affairs, and Paul DuBois from the Office of the Dean of Arts and Humanities.

If you are a CUNY employee, you will need to have your paystub in front of you while making your e-pledge. If you prefer to make a one-time gift rather than a payroll deduction, please contact Reinalda (reinalda.medina@qc.cuny.edu) or Alice (alice.pisciotta@qc.cuny.edu) for assistance with a paper-based donation form. Employees who are not on the CUNY State payroll may also make a gift with a paper donation form. These small donations add up to great benefits for many people.

I know that our contributions make a difference. Together we can help promote positive and lasting change in people's lives and communities. Please join me and our CUNY Campaign Team by using the Power of One to make this our most successful year yet.
