Are you looking for a way to jumpstart your NASPA Region II Conference experience in New York City? Seeking professional development opportunities that fit your needs? Consider attending one of our two pre-conference opportunities being offered this year! As a region, we will be hosting the New Professional and Graduate Student (NP&GS) Pre-Conference, as well as the Leadershape Resilience Program, on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018. Attending the Region II pre-conference provides a unique space for personal reflection, professional growth, and an opportunity to network with others in the area. This year we will be hosting our first, "Have a Seat at the Table" Luncheon in which all pre-conference attendees will join with senior level Region II Board members at lunch, giving attendees the opportunity to speak with senior level professional in our area about their paths in the field and creating networking opportunities. Both programs will take place on Sunday, June 3 from 9am-3:30pm and provide breakfast and lunch. For more information about registration, our pre-conferences and our new Graduate Student Scholarship, please visit our website<http://email.mg.naspa.org/c/eJxNjr2OgzAQhJ8GOiy8XmIoXKRJESkPsdhLcIQWYv6Stz_rrjlpivm-YjTBddAGW0anLWrU2rSt0nVnUekGABFM3YAFdaeDHhQnJbQudHK_jPIpAAus_5tydP7SN6FH6jXVHQzWMhs_QGiDx-HiTTm5cduWtTDXAm4553n-rao5PTPzwbKtufzKKsYq8TPOQlPlZxk4sXguk3uxSMyoXpSOuOYnb6_8Ll_FYf8Bo8xF5Q> or read more below. NASPA Region II Pre-Conferences: The LeaderShape’s® Resilience™ program is a 1-day eye-opener based on the research of Dr. Amit Sood that explores resilient leadership and how it builds strong, flexible relationships and communities. Resilience™ is designed for mid-level professionals and focuses on managing stress, learning the skills to take life events in stride and growing and learning from our experiences. Healing and strengthening, Resilience™ offers participants the space and time to begin to focus on how their lives impact their ability to lead, and the tools they need to strengthen their awareness day to day. The New Professional and Graduate Student Pre-Conference will feature sessions around identity development, navigating political climates of institutions, money management, and effective ways to build relationships with students and colleagues. Attendees will attend keynote lectures, and be able to choose from a variety of sessions throughout the day. We have extended our early-bird registration to April 23rd! Until the 23rd, you can register for the NP&GS pre-conference for $70 per participant and for the Leadershape pre-conference for $50 per participant.
