Dear Student Affairs Team:
I am pleased to announce that we are bringing nationally renowned speaker, Mike Domitrz, to campus on January 30, 2018, to speak with our students about sexual harassment and sexual assault. His program, titled "Can I Kiss You?" helps educate college students on topics of dating and consent within their relationships. It takes a positive, "How To" approach to the topic to educate students on navigating the terrain of dating and sexual relationships.
As this event is sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs, I am requesting that you share this information widely and invite the students you work with to attend the program. There will be two identical sessions, the first at 5:45pm in Rosenthal Library 230, and the second at 7:00pm in The Summit MCR. Given today's climate regarding Title IX, sexual assault, and the #MeToo movement, it is imperative that we support our students in making smart choices in their dating lives, as well as in creating a safe space for assault survivors.
If you would like to see a clip of what your students can expect to see, go to https://www.datesafeproject.org/universities/can-i-kiss-you/
Thank you; I look forward to seeing you and your students as these events.
Sincerely,
Adam
