Subject: The Education Trust Report

The Education Trust, In a report issued today, highlighted five
colleges across the nation that, according to an article in the
Chronicle of Higher Education, "... are doing a good job of serving
low-income students." Two of the five are CUNY colleges, Baruch and
Queens.

Having two of the top five colleges in the nation in terms of service
to low-income students is a signal honor for CUNY. It also illustrates
how problematic the efforts are for the CUNY Chancellery to override
the faculty-determined core curricula of these and all other CUNY
colleges.
