Dear Senate Members,

The University Student Senate LGBT Task Force will conduct it's next meeting on Friday, March 23th 2012.

Location: Conference Room on the 12th Floor @ 101 West 31st.

Time: 5PM-8PM

This will be a special meeting in coordination with the Anti-Violence Project focusing on  What Does This LGBT mean, and why should I care?

On the heels of the Tyler Clementi Verdict, The Task Force thought it to be important to provide and educational workshop:

The CUNY LGBT Task Force in cooperation with The Anti-Violence Project will host a discussion about understanding the LGBT community

Education is the answer to hate and misunderstanding. No questions about yourself,  friends, and family are off limits. The CUNY LGBT Task Force invites the community to a discussion about sex and sexuality. Bring an open mind and you may understand our community in a better way. Our goal is to have a non-judgmental conversation with the CUNY community, friends and family and learn from each other.

Refreshments will be provided and are compliments of the University Student Senate

The following subway lines are the closest : 1, 2, 3, B, D, F, N, R, Q, and W lines. Take any one of these to the 34th Street stop; come out of the station through the 32nd Street Exit; walk over to 6th Avenue and 31st Street. One zero one is the first office building next to Starbucks on 31st Street.

We are extending this invitation to the CUNY community, and encourage any faculty interested to please attend.

All are welcome!
