Greetings from Marshall University! I hope this email finds you safe, healthy and well! The Marshall University Dietetic Internship is excited to invite you and your students to our Virtual Open House on October 23rd from 2-4pm EST to discuss our on-site and distance internship programs. The open house will provide an opportunity to connect with Marshall Dietetics Faculty Members and past interns to ask questions about each of our programs. Both programs provide the opportunity to complete a Master’s Degree in Dietetics. Distance Dietetic Interns will complete their master’s program completely online. On-site interns will complete their master’s program with a combination of on-site and online courses. Highlights of the open house and our program include:

· An opportunity to learn about our on-site and distance programs and identify which program is most beneficial to you o Distance interns are able to complete their internships and master’s programs where they live o Distance interns have the ability to tailor their preceptors to their interests o All distance interns will travel to Huntington for a 3-day orientation in August (pending University policies for travel) · Dietetic Internship Programs include 21 hours of graduate credit with the option of completing the 36 credit MS degree · Emphasis in Nutrition Education & Grantsmanship · Accepting 12 on-site interns and 55 distance interns per year · Affordable tuition and fees with financial aid eligibility available for all students · Internships are completed over 10-months with the ability to earn graduate credit simultaneously · Dietetic Internship Director and Distance Dietetic Internship Coordinator to support interns throughout their program at Marshall · State-of-the-art classrooms and foods laboratory (tour will be included in the open house) · For more information on the Marshall University Dietetic Internships, please check out our YouTube <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8Vba3zcUPQ> video and our website <https://www.marshall.edu/dietetics/program-description/>. · Feel free to contact Mallory Mount, EdD, RDN, LD, CDCES (evans99@marshall.edu <mailto:evans99@marshall.edu>) for questions regarding the on-site internship and Tim Bender, MS, RDN, LD (tim.bender@marshall.edu <mailto:tim.bender@marshall.edu>) for questions regarding the distance internship.
