We are pleased to invite your students who are interested in health, wellness and nutrition to join us at the Westchester-Rockland Dietetic Association 4th Annual Student Career Panel. This panel will be hosted virtually via zoom in conjunction with Pace University – College of Health Professions Coordinated MS in Nutrition and Dietetics Program. Our goal is to introduce the profession of dietetics to all students and in particular, traditionally underrepresented groups in this profession such as BIPOC and men. Students will hear from Registered Dietitian-Nutritionists (RDNs) about the myriad of opportunities in the field of nutrition and dietetics. RDN’s will share insights from their own career paths, reflect upon the importance of incorporating their culture into their practice, discuss how they were encouraged to get involved in this field and how they have overcome barriers to entry and other hurdles throughout their careers. There will be opportunities to virtually network with other students and professionals as well as a question and answer session. This is a wonderful opportunity for students who are already on the path to a career in the field of nutrition as well as students who are interested in health and science, but are not sure what their next step should be. This is also a great chance for students to meet with Faculty and current students from the MS Nutrition and Dietetics Program at Pace University. This program is the only Graduate level Nutrition and Dietetics Program in Westchester County. Applications for Fall 2021 are currently being accepted.
