Volunteers must hold a current CDR specialist and/or AP credential to be eligible. *Weight Management Committee* The CDR Weight Management Committee provides content development and facilitator selection for the CDR Obesity Certificate of Training Courses. Volunteers update pre-work, live programming and analyze program evaluations. The group will align a pathway for obesity certificate graduates toward the CSOWM credential. *CDR Nominating Committee* The CDR Nominating Committee identifies qualified individuals to be placed on the national ballot for election to the Commission on Dietetic Registration. In accordance with the procedures and policies of the committee, and the Academy Bylaws, the CDR Nominating Committee selects candidates for available seats and terms. *CDR Appeals Panel* The CDR Appeals Panel’s reviews, renders and enforces consistent, fair and objective decisions relating to certification. Volunteer commitment is monthly virtual meetings to consider and act on individual appeal cases. This role requires high confidentiality and sensitivity. *Examination Panel* The CDR Examination Panel oversees the development and maintenance of the entry-level registration exams for dietitians and dietetic technicians. Volunteers participate in exam development workshops, consider item writing standards, review policies and procedures, and mentor subject matter experts. This role requires highly confidential document preparation. Individuals selected must agree to ‘not participate’ in non-CDR exam preparation programs, tutoring nor mentoring programs during their term and for the 3-years following their service. *Competency Assurance* The Competency Assurance Panel establishes recommendations for standards that provide quality continuing professional education, promote continued competence in practice, and elevate the dietetic profession. *CDR Commission, DTR® representative* The Commission on Dietetic Registration protects and promotes the health of the public by supporting practitioner competence, quality practice, lifelong learning and career advancement. The CDR Commission is composed of 12 members. An early career DTR/NDTR with leadership/management experience is needed for a 1-year term.
