The Mount Mary Dietetic Internship program has a concentration in disease prevention and health promotion, threaded throughout community, management, MNT and a 4-5 week elective rotation. Interns are able to preference rotation settings based on their interests, and earn 18 credits toward a M.S. in Dietetics during the 9-month internship.
Following the internship, interns are eligible to take the national examination for registered dietitians and may then complete their master’s degree locally or online on a part-time for full-time basis. Half of past interns report obtaining employer tuition reimbursement to help pay for their degree.
