We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Registered Dietitian to join our staff in providing excellent nutrition care to our adult and geriatric population in our skilled nursing and rehab facility.
Clinical responsibilities include nutrition assessments, provide dietary recommendations, charting in EMR, developing nutrition care plans, provide diet education, completing MDS process, attending care plan meetings among other nutritional related functions.
Job Hours: M-F within hours of 8:30-6pm and one Saturday/month.

Maintains level of clinical expertise for pediatric endocrinology, recommends the appropriate nutrition therapy as it pertains to the patients’ nutritional needs, and provides nutrition counseling to patients and family members as indicated. The Clinical Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for activities that support patient-focused care within the Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes practice. Adheres to all applicable regulatory agency guidelines, and to department and hospital philosophies, standards, objectives and policies and procedures.
Registered Dietitian (RD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration required, Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) from NYS Department of Education Office of the Professions, and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) preferred.

New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is seeking a temporary, part-time
Nutrition Project Coordinator to support the Take Action: Food Pantries initiative starting in May 2021, 3 days per week.
Take Action: Food Pantries builds the capacity of emergency food providers to deliver nutrition education and culinary demonstrations and to promote awareness of prediabetes and the National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP) for clients. The program provides funding, training and ongoing technical assistance to participating pantries. It is part of a larger initiative, Take Action ABCD: Improve AIC control, Blood pressure control, Cholesterol management and Diabetes prevention and management, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This position offers a great opportunity to build skills in community partnership development and in developing and delivering trainings. Preference will be given to applicants with bilingual skills.
