Students who are approved for the class will go through a 4-5 week training on essential techniques based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). For the remaining 10 weeks, you will be paired with a child with autism and implement ABA programs designed specifically for your child. All of this via telehealth. You may see your child blossom before your very eyes with the very skills you are teaching. If you are interested in working with children, children with autism, or just learning, come join us for an experience you will never forget
We transitioned SIBS Club to telehealth for this fall with great success. We are planning to continue in Spring 2021 with the telehealth program and online instruction for Psych 372.

We are really excited for this new venture. When schools and therapies shut down in March, therapeutic services for children with autism moved to a telehealth model. It's amazing to see how well it has worked for many children. Telehealth will likely be the way some services are delivered for a while and even longer term. Given this positive experience we moved SIBS Club to telehealth and Psych 372 online in the fall and we will continue for Spring 2021. We are excited to teach in this new way and teach you to implement intervention via telehealth, a likely valuable skill if you continue in this field.
If you are interested in the class, please email Dr. Emily Jones (sibsclub@qc.cuny.edu) to schedule an interview.
Thank you
Emily
