A colleague and I are collecting data on impostor syndrome within the nutrition and dietetics profession. We’re hoping you can pass along this anonymous survey to students within your program.

We’re collecting data on dietetics students, interns, and also RDs/DTRs. We’re trying to get as diverse of a sample as possible. Thank you for your consideration. IRB approved text for dissemination is provided below.

Calling all nutrition and dietetics students, dietetic interns, RDs and DTRs!

We’re conducting a first of its kind online study about the prevalence of the impostor phenomenon (IP) within nutrition and dietetics professionals.

What’s IP? It’s when someone believes they’re incompetent, inadequate, or a fraud despite many career successes and proficient competency. IP is problematic as it may prevent students or professionals from seeking career advancement among other things!

The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete, and it will be voluntary and anonymous.

Please click the link below to access the survey. The first page contains an electronic consent form. This project has been approved by the IRB at Delaware Valley University
