Hello! We hope this email finds you well. Would you be able to send this information out to your incoming nutrition students? We have an exciting volunteer opportunity at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center! We are looking for nutrition students who are looking to gain volunteer experience in clinical nutrition and can commit to 1 year of volunteer work starting in Fall 2021. They will be scheduled for 5 hours per day, typically one shift per week. We staff volunteers all days of the week so Monday - Sunday with time slots between 10am and 5pm. preRD Journal Club

Journal Club is run by Penina Langer RDN and led by Ally Filingeri, RDN (both QC alumni!) and aims to provide students with an informal place to learn more about nutrition research and how to read and interpret the literature to incorporate it in evidence based practice. All students who attend 5+ sessions will receive a certificate at the end of the program. Also, any dietetic interns who attend 5+ sessions will be eligible to create their own "Student Seminar," a variation of Journal Club which they will be able to lead and market to the preRD community. We can also work with the student to help meet research competencies if needed.
