Please see below for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics opportunity! *Attention Student Members – The Foundation Is Now Accepting Applications for its Student Member Board of Director Position* The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of the Academy and is the only charitable organization devoted exclusively to supporting nutrition and dietetics professionals by empowering them to help consumers live healthier lifestyles. The Foundation is seeking student members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to apply for the Student Member position on the Foundation’s Board of Directors. The nutrition and dietetics student member is elected by the Foundation Board and serves a two-year term. Tomorrows meeting

Hey club members! Tomorrow, October 25th we will be back on schedule to Monday Club meetings. We will be meeting during free hour, starting at 12:15. Tomorrow's guest speaker is Kyle Murray! Kyle Murray is a CHALK Community Nutrition Specialist at New York Presbyterian Hospital. As a bilingual registered dietitian, he has experience as a counselor and educator in settings across New York City. Kyle’s practice is informed by a decade of experience in public health work, as well as a strong clinical counseling background in area hospitals. Inspired to enter the field by his own experiences as a Type 1 Diabetic, he works to link community and clinical resources to empower people to better manage conditions like obesity and diabetes, and improve their health outcomes. I also wanted to remind everyone that tomorrow is the last day to register for the mentorship program. Updates: Mentoring Program information

Hi Everyone! Here are some updates on the Dietetic Internship mentoring program! The sign-up for the mentorship program will close on *Monday, October 25th*. To sign up: 1. Read the attached DPD Mentoring Guidebook (you will fill out the mentoring agreement section with your mentor) 2. Fill out the google form. Please complete EVERYTHING with your information including the area of interest/concentration. *DI MENTORSHIP PROGRAM SIGN UP LINK:* https://forms.gle/Jt3gNSaa4LcrqDm36 The initial meeting will be on *Friday, November 5th.* I want to set a time for this meeting that works for the majority of the participants. When the signup closes on the 25th I will send out a poll with a couple of times on it to help figure out the best time to have the meeting. During this meeting, you will have 30 minutes to meet your mentor in a zoom breakout room. You will already know who your mentor is before this meeting.
