[MAEnglish] End-of-semester announcements
Hi everyone, I'm out of town Dec. 13-18, which means my regular office hours for the semester have ended. But I'm available over winter break via email and appointment, so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or need advising. Here some important end-of-the-semester announcements: *1. Course and Faculty Evaluations* Please don't forget to fill out online evaluations for all your courses at http://www.qc.cuny.edu/evaluate/. The department and college welcomes your feedback and takes your suggestions very seriously. All comments are anonymous, confidential, and unavailable to instructors until after final grades have been submitted. The initial deadline is tomorrow, Dec. 13. You can even fill them out on your mobile devices! *2. Taking an Incomplete* If you're unable to complete a final course assignment and want to take an incomplete, please make arrangements with your professor. Keep in mind that an incomplete is a temporary grade and should be resolved ASAP. All incompletes must be completed within one calendar year (so an INC in Fall 2016 must be resolved before the end of Fall 2017). *3. Registration for Spring 2017 Courses* Please register for your spring courses, if you haven't already. Classes that are underenrolled could be in danger of being canceled by the College administration, so it's best to register ASAP. I've attached the Spring 2017 course descriptions again here. *4. Registering for 791 and 795* If you're planning to write your thesis essay or take an independent study in the spring, you should've already been in touch with me or Bill and also already asked the faculty members you'd like to work with (before they're gone for the winter break). If you have questions or need copies of the sign-up forms, please let me or Bill know. *5. Graduation* Congratulations to everyone who is finishing up and graduating this semester! Though there is no graduation ceremony for fall, we hope you'll come back in late May to participate in the department ceremony. Look out for announcements via this MA listserv in the spring for more info. Hope your fall semester is winding down nicely, and wishing everyone a happy holidays and winter break!
