[EnglishMA] Pre-Registration/ Career Chat at the Morgan Library
Hello all, A final reminder that today is the last day to pre-register for classes. Also, you be able to start registering on CUNYfirst for Summer 2024 classes on Monday. I’m also forwarding announcement for a Career Open House at the Morgan Library—an esteemed library and museum in midtown Manhattan. They are holding an open house/ career chat for students interested in careers in museum work. They’re particularly interested in talking to folks with backgrounds in language and literature. It takes place on Thursday, 11/ 2 at 3 pm. See below (and the attached flyer) for more information. I am writing to share an upcoming virtual program hosted by the Morgan that may be of interest to your student community. I wanted to draw your attention to this session specifically as the staff represented here come primarily from literary or language backgrounds, which may be of interest to students who are not necessarily focusing on art history. Let me know any questions; I've attached a flyer for campus use. Please feel free to forward to any relative sister departments at your institution and thank you! All best, Nicole College Career Chats: Behind the Scenes at the Morgan Library & Museum [Image removed by sender.] Thursday, November 2, 2023, 3:00 PM Who works at a museum and research library? Who oversees the budget, engages with the public, and re-shelves the rare books? Current undergraduate and graduate students are invited to join this virtual conversation series and meet staff representing various departments at the Morgan. Participants can ask questions, get career inspiration, and discover behind-the-scenes insights. Please note that the program will take place online. After registering, participants will receive a confirmation e-mail with instructions on how to participate using Zoom. We ask that you download the app in advance for the best user experience.
