Dear Graduate Students, A reminder for those of you who are coming to graduation. Looking forward to congratulating you in person! Congratulations to everyone who is finishing up and graduating this semester ! The 2019 English Department Graduation Ceremony will take place on *Thursday, May 30*, around 12pm (or about 30 minutes after the campus-wide commencement <https://www.qc.cuny.edu/about/Commencement/Pages/Default.aspx>), in the Goldstein Theater. MA students who are graduating in Spring 2019, who already graduated in Fall 2018, and who won't be officially graduating till Summer 2019 are all welcome to participate in the ceremony. No RSVP or tickets are required for the department ceremony, though I recommend you and your loved ones get there by at least 11-11:30 to grab seats (and even earlier if you need to look for parking). Graduates should come up to the stage, and you'll be given instructions on where to sit, when to line up to get your name called, etc. Cap and gown are not required. The ceremony usually lasts about an hour, followed by a small reception with cake.
