I have listed below the deadline for all graduation semesters as well as a note regarding maintenance of matriculation. *Carol Capalone* *G**r**a**d**u**a**t**i**o**n Procedures and* *M**a**i**n**t**e**n**a**nc**e of Matriculation* The procedure whereby a student receives a degree or certificate *must be initiated by the student *(advanced and Post-Master’s Certificates must be g enerated by the advisor). A student declares his or her candidacy by submitting a Gradua tion Application online via their CUNYfirst account in accordance with the f ollowing deadlines: *F**or graduation in February: on or before November 1.* *For graduation in May: on or before March 1. For graduation in September: on or before July 1.* *C**a**n**d**i**d**ates are encouraged to file Graduation Appli- cations at the time they register for their last semester.* *A Graduation Application should be filed only if the student is reasonably certain that all degree requirements will be satisfied by the end of the semester preceding the graduation date. If the student does not graduate, a new Graduation Application must be submitted. Students who submit a Graduation Application after the deadline will be asked to resubmit for a future semester.* *I**m**p**o**r**t**a**n**t Note: Maintenance of Matriculation. *CUNY regulat ions require students to be registered in the semester in which the degree is awarded. Registra tion for maintenance of matriculation is *not *required for any semester other than the semester before the graduation date, and the fee may not be waived. Payment of the fee allows students to use the facilities of Queens College as a regularly registered student (library, laboratories, etc.).
