Dear Graduating Students,
For the department ceremony, no RSVP or tickets are required. I recommend you and your loved ones get there by at least 11 to grab seats (and even earlier if you need to look for parking). Graduates will sit on the stage, and you'll be given instructions on where to sit, when to line up to get your name called, etc. Cap and gown are optional. The ceremony usually lasts about an hour, and there's a small reception with cake afterward.
I'm so sad to be missing the ceremony this year, because I'll be in Boston for a conference. But I'll be with you in spirit, sending my congratulations and best wishes. And Bill will be there to hand you your certificates and celebrate you, along with the rest of our faculty.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email.
Best,
Caroline
