Hi all,
A final reminder that the English Department graduation ceremony takes place tomorrow, Thursday, June 2, about half an hour after the main campus-wide ceremony ends, starting around 11:30am, in Goldstein Theatre. I recommend you and your family/friends get there at least by 11:00am to grab seats (and even earlier if you need to look for parking).
If you already graduated in Fall 2015, or won't be officially graduating till Summer 2016, you're still welcome to take part in the ceremony, since it only happens once a year. All graduates can go straight to the stage, and they'll give you instructions on where to sit, when to line up to have your names called, etc. Cap and gown are optional. The ceremony usually lasts about an hour, and there is a small reception afterward.
I'm so sad that I'm traveling and won't be able to attend tomorrow's ceremonies. Bill Orchard will be there representing the MA directors and faculty, and I'll be there in spirit. My heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates and your loved ones! Please keep in touch!
Best,
Caroline
