Dear Graduate Students,

I’m writing to remind you about the 791 information meeting happening this Wednesday (Dec 4), from 6:30-7:30pm in Klapper 710. Note the slight time adjustment from previous announcements. The meeting is open to all, but is mostly intended for students planning to register for 791 and write their culminating thesis essays in the spring 2014 semester.

During the meeting, we’ll be explaining the practical arrangements for 791, including finding an advisor and reader and submitting a thesis essay proposal, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask us questions. You’ll also be invited to share the topic of your thesis essay with other members of the group, and we’ll talk more generally about the writing process, time management, and what to expect from/ask of your advisor.

Best,
