Ed English student Named for the long-standing Chair of the English Department, the Nancy Comley Prize was established two years ago to honor the best essay produced by a graduate student in either the MA or MS. Ed/English programs. The prize is co-sponsored by English Department Faculty and by the English Department Alumni Fund. All currently matriculated MA and MS. Ed students as well as MA and MS. Ed students who graduated on February 1, 2014 are eligible to compete for the prize. Your entry should be between 10 and 25 pages in length, typed, double-spaced, and in a 12 pt. font with 1 inch margins. It must be carefully proof-read and formatted according to MLA style with a Works Cited page included at the end. Please also remember to number your pages. The deadline for submissions is midnight on Friday April 18. If you don't know your 8-digit CUNYFirst ID number, please look it up before submitting your essay. * In the body of your email, make sure to include the following information: 1. Your full name 2. Your eight-digit ID number 3. The title of your essay § Make sure that your name does not appear anywhere in your essay, which will be blind-read by the prize judges, faculty members serving on the MA Committee. Winners will be contacted by Friday April 25 and invited to receive their award during the department's prizes ceremony on Monday May 5 from 3:00-4:00 in the Godwin Ternbach Museum.
