Dear Students,
As some of you already know, my three-year term as the Director of Graduate Studies concluded at the end of last semester. Happily for me, as I’m still an active English
professor at Queens College, I’ll continue to see you around the department and at graduate events, including the upcoming MA conference which I’m very much looking forward to. Although I’m excited to be spending more time in the classroom, and also with my
research, I know too that I will miss working with you all. Thank you for making my time as director so incredibly rewarding—and so much fun!
My wonderful colleague, Caroline Hong, will be taking up the director position. We’ll be working together for these next few weeks of transition, but all email inquiries
should now be sent to her: caroline.hong@qc.cuny.edu. Another terrific colleague, Bill Orchard, will be taking up Caroline’s former position as assistant director. I’m delighted to be leaving the program in such
great hands.
Finally, in the end-of-semester rush I forgot to mention that the English department launched its new website in December. You can find the MA main-page here:

All best wishes for the New Year,
Andrea
