Hi all, Please read on for info on signing up for ENGL 791 and 795 in Spring 2020. *ENGL 791: Thesis Course* If you are planning to register for ENGL 791 and write your thesis essay in Spring 2020, please join us for an info meeting on *Wednesday, Nov, 20, at 6:00pm* (room TBA). At this meeting, we'll go over the ENGL 791 Guide to the thesis-essay process and requirements (for now, you can find general info on our website <http://english.qc.cuny.edu/graduate-programs/ma-in-english/ma-thesis/>), including registering for ENGL 791 (see the sign-up form attached here), writing an effective proposal, finding an advisor and second reader, etc. It's also a great opportunity to connect with your peers who'll be going through this process with you. The spring deadline to submit your ENGL 791 sign-up form and proposal to me (caroline.hong@qc.cuny.edu) is *Friday, January 3*. Once your form/proposal has been approved, you'll be registered for 791. Please *RSVP via email* in the next couple weeks, whether or not you can make this meeting. If you're unable to make it, we can get you all the info and chat about the process via email or in person. *ENGL 795: Independent Study* If you are interested in doing an independent study in Spring 2020 and have already discussed the possibility with a full-time faculty member in the department, please fill out the ENGL 795 sign-up form (see attached) together with your professor.
