Hello all, I’m sending along two reminders: 1. We’re holding an information session on English 791 (the thesis class) for those planning to write their theses in Fall 2024. We’ll discuss how to find an adviser and second reader, how to write your proposal, the timeline for submitting forms, and how to plan out your semester. This will take place on Wednesday, 4/17 at 6:30 pm. Please email me if you plan to attend. 2. If you are graduating this semester (or finished in the fall), make sure you check the information on the college’s commencement site: https://www.qc.cuny.edu/ce/for-graduates/. Commencement takes place on May 30. The college-wide commencement starts at 9 am that day, and the departmental graduation ceremony follows that (usually shortly after 11). If you plan to participate in the larger, college-wide ceremony, you’ll need to RSVP at the above link. If you want to order a cap and gown, the deadline for doing that is tomorrow, April 16. (You don’t need to register for the department ceremony. You can just show up. You also don’t have to wear a cap and gown for the department ceremony.)
