Dear MA Students, Don’t miss your chance to apply for our program’s signature annual event: our Graduate Student Conference! This is your conference, and the theme this year, “In Other Worlds,” focuses on multiverses, pluriverses, and unmaking and making of better worlds. Your abstracts for proposals—which are only 250 words maximum-- are due by end of day this Monday March 6. The conference happens on March 29 and 30, 2023. The full call for papers is attached to this message, and it can also be found online here<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__nam02.safelinks.protect... >. What you propose is up to you: perhaps you present work that you recently completed for a class, or in-progress writing that you are planning for this semester, or excerpts from a thesis that is in the process of being written. In addition to being an opportunity to add a line to your cv or resume and share your work, the conference is a real opportunity to build community with your fellow graduate students and meet others grad students from across the NYC area. We still also welcome volunteers on our wonderful planning committee, which worked to develop the theme and Call, but has a lot coming up ahead: the committee will review the submissions, organize panels, invite faculty speakers, and help with the actual day of the event. If you are interested in joining, fill out this form<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__nam02.safelinks.protect... >. Please contact Bill and/or I with any questions about the 2023 Graduate Student Conference.
