Dear Graduate Students,

If you’re planning to register for ENGL 791 and write your culminating thesis essay in the fall, please make every effort to attend the 791 workshop on Monday May 6, between 5:30-7:00 in Klapper 710. It fine to arrive late or leave early depending on your work and/or class schedule. Wine, soda, and snacks will be served.

The workshop will be led by Professor Duncan Faherty and myself. I’ll run through the practical arrangements for 791 and talk about how to plan and structure your time effectively, but the workshop will mostly focus on how to take a paper you’ve already written for one of your MA classes and revise and rework it into a successful culminating thesis essay.

I’ll send out a reminder closer to the time, but I wanted to make sure you have the date now so that you can mark your calendars.

All best wishes,
