Dear Graduate Students,

Thanks to all of you who took advantage of pre-registration this week. For those of you who weren't able to do so, you’re welcome to stop by my office hours next Monday (April 15) between 4:30 and 7:00 and I’ll register you for classes then. I'm also holding additional office hours next week - by appointment only -- between 1:30-4:30 on Wednesday April 17. Self-service registration (that is, when you can register yourself via your student record on CUNYFirst) begins on Monday April 15 for summer 2013 classes; Monday April 22 for fall 2013 classes.

The Registrar’s office has sent out a message regarding summer 2013 graduation (for a degree conferral date of September 1, 2013). The filing deadline for a summer graduation remains July 1, but if you apply on or before April 15 (next Monday) then you will have your name included in the commencement program and be invited to the commencement ceremony on May 30. The invitation and further details will be sent from the Commencement office. Please see the Registrar’s website for further details:

And finally, a reminder to submit your work for consideration for the Nancy Comley prize via email to me at andrea.walkden@qc.cuny.edu. The deadline for submissions is midnight on Monday April 22. A flyer with further details is attached to this message.
