[History undergraduates] Call for Papers for History students and Phi Alpha Theta members
Dear History majors, Please see below for a call for papers from journal "History Matters". The journal provides students with the opportunity to publish historical research. This year they are especially interested in publishing work by Phi Alpha Theta members. However, you do not have to be a Phi Alpha Theta member to have your work considered. Please see below for guidelines and more information. All the best, Prof. Bregoli --------- HISTORY MATTERS is a historical journal that provides students with the unique opportunity to be published as undergraduates. We encourage all undergraduates interested in historical research to offer a submission. We are especially seeking research papers utilizing primary sources and historical articles; however, any historical work is welcome, regardless of genre. This year we are putting an emphasis on providing members of Phi Alpha Theta an opportunity for publication. We hope that the members of your Phi Alpha Theta chapter will take advantage of this opportunity and submit their best work to History Matters. GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION: Authors may submit papers via e-mail attachment, in Microsoft Word, to histmatt@appstate.edu. Please do not submit works already submitted to or published by this journal or other academic journals. Revision and additional research may be requested after editorial review, but a request for revision does not guarantee publication. Please refer to the Chicago Manual of Style (latest edition) for citation guidelines, especially for footnote form, and include an e-mail address and phone number with submissions. The final deadline is January 30th, 2015, but students are encouraged to submit papers as soon as possible. The editors welcome any questions at histmatt@appstate.edu. There is also a CONTRIBUTING EDITOR position, which allows graduate students as well as undergraduates from universities all across the country to become involved with History Matters. Their responsibilities include writing a book review for publication in the journal, as well as publicity on campus.
