[History undergraduates] Local internships in Queens for History majors
Dear History majors, I hope you are having a relaxing summer. There is still time to apply for Fall internships, and I want to remind you about two excellent opportunities in Queens! The Queens Historical Society <http://www.queenshistoricalsociety.org/internships-volunteering.html> encourages college students to apply for internships that focus on Education and School Tours, Public Programming, Collections/Exhibitions, Library Science, and special projects as needed. Students will gain first-hand experience in a museum setting. For more information please contact info@queenshistoricalsociety.org or call (718) 939-0647 ext. 14. The Godwin-Ternbach Museum <http://www.qc.cuny.edu/Academics/Degrees/DSS/History/Opportunities-for-Students/Documents/GTM%20internship%20descriptions_Final.pdf> at Queens College also encourages students to apply. This is a fantastic opportunity on campus for History majors interested in museum work, arts education, arts administration, and marketing. Research is possible as part of the internship. To apply please contact Brita Helgesen ( brita.helgesen@qc.cuny.edu) or call 718-997-4724. While these internships are unpaid, you have the option of getting college credit in History for them. Please feel free to contact me for any questions!
