Dear History Students, The Queens College History Department is pleased to announce new Academic Excellence Scholarships for Graduate Students. WHAT: Full and part-time students enrolling in any of the Department's MA programs (including Accelerated MA and MLS/MA) for the first time in Spring 2019 or Fall 2019 may qualify for a one-semester scholarship of up to $2,000. HOW: Applicants will automatically be considered for this award if their application, submitted through the QC Graduate Admissions Office, demonstrates a strong record of academic excellence, achievement, and promise as measured by their: · GPA (3.5 or above) · personal statement · three letters of recommendation. There is no separate application for this scholarship, but applicants may indicate in their personal statement that they wish to be considered for the Academic Excellence Scholarship. DETAILS: Scholarship funds may only be used during the semester in which they are awarded. Awardees must complete a minimum of 6 credits during the award period.
