[History undergraduates] fantastic new History class for Spring 2018
Dear History Students, This spring, please consider taking a new course: HIST 388, "Oral History: Methods and Applications" with the always-popular Prof. Wintermute. The course meets on Thursdays from 3:10-5:50. Here is the description: This class will be offered in cooperation with the Queens Library's Queens Memory Program. Students will be working on a project connected with the history of LBGTQ activism in the borough of Queens over the past 25 years. Following instruction and training in the oral historian's methods, students will be paired with volunteer subjects to conduct extensive oral history interviews and create digital exhibits highlighting their experiences. For those of you interested in careers in public history, libraries, or education, this course is a must-take! All best, Prof. Celello
