[History undergraduates] publish your paper with History Matters
Dear History students, One of our History alumni, Michael Bento, currently in the MA program, has become a Contributing Editor to History Matters, an undergraduate publication of papers dealing with historical topics. If you have a paper that you're proud of from one of your classes, consider submitting it for consideration by the journal. Here is the official Call For Papers and guidelines on how to submit. (If you have questions about The Chicago Manual of Style, you could ask one of your professors for assistance.): *CALL FOR PAPERS* *HISTORY MATTERS* is a historical journal that provides students with the unique opportunity to be published as undergraduates. We encourage all undergraduates interested in historical research to offer a submission. We are especially seeking research papers utilizing primary sources and book reviews; however, any historical work is welcome, regardless of genre. *HISTORY MATTERS *is published electronically each spring and is edited by undergraduates with the help of a faculty board. Please visit the journal homepage at *www.historymatters.appstate.edu* <http://www.historymatters.appstate.edu/> for more information. *GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION:* Authors may submit papers via e-mail attachment, in Microsoft Word, to *histmatt@appstate.edu <histmatt@appstate.edu>*. Please do not submit works already submitted to or published by this journal or other academic journals. *Revision and additional research may be requested after editorial review, but a request for revision does not guarantee publication.* Please refer to the *Chicago Manual of Style* (latest edition) for citation guidelines, especially for footnote form, and include an e-mail address and phone number with submissions. *The final deadline is January 30th, 2015 but students are encouraged to submit papers as soon as possible.* The editors welcome any questions at *histmatt@appstate.edu <histmatt@appstate.edu>*. -- Joel Allen Associate Professor and Chair History Department, Queens College Flushing, NY 11367 office: 718-997-5350 fax: 718-997-5359
