[History undergraduates] REMINDER: Phi Alpha Theta 2016 BIENNIAL CONVENTION – January 6-10, 2016
Dear History majors and History graduate students, The deadline for submitting paper proposals for the 2016 Phi Alpha Theta Biennial Convention has been extended to *Wednesday, November 18, 2015*. All proposals are now to be submitted online via the PAT website by following the links below: http://phialphatheta.org/student-paper-submission-form Please note, the Queens College Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta has some limited funds to help students with travel to present at the convention. All best, Prof. Bregoli *2016 Call for Papers Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society 2016 Biennial Conference January 6-10, 2016, Orlando, Florida * *CALL FOR PAPERS AND PAPER PROPOSAL SUBMISSIONS* *SUBMISSION DEADLINE: November 18, 2015* Phi Alpha Theta invites all student members and faculty advisors to present a paper at the 2016 Biennial Convention. Proposals from all historical fields and time periods are welcome. The conference is open to faculty and students at all levels including undergraduates, Master’s candidates, Ph.D. students, as well as students who have graduated. There is no limit to the number of paper presenters per chapter, however only one paper per individual is permitted. *All presenters must be verified members of Phi Alpha Theta, if a student wishes to present, but is not currently a member, s/he must be join prior to the convention.* Panels will be arranged based on their general theme, i.e. Cold War, 19th Century Europe, 20th Century US, etc. Please keep in mind when making your travel plans that we are unable to accommodate individual scheduling requests. All paper presenters should plan on attending the entire conference. Once the program is finalized, students will receive a confirmation email providing the date and time of their panel, as well as the contact information for their panel chair, to whom they will submit their paper. *Papers should not be sent to the National Office.* Presentations should not exceed fifteen minutes in length (approximately 8-10 typed, double-spaced pages).
