The QC Fellowships Office will be hosting an information session in which a representative from IIE will speak more about the awards (more information below). Please feel free to share this information with students in your department. Best, QC Fellowships Office *** Boren Awards The Boren scholarships and fellowships fund graduate and undergraduate study abroad in languages determined by the State Department to be critical for U.S. security and relationships with other countries. Applicants need to demonstrate an interest in national security, which is broadly defined, and be willing to work for the federal government for at least a year after their award. In addition, students in the STEM fields may also apply for Boren’s summer awards. A representative from Boren will be leading an information session here on campus. Boren is a wonderful opportunity for students from a range of majors and with varied interests. Our recent winner was passionate about combatting climate change and committed to women’s empowerment and other social justice issues, and she spent a semester in Morocco studying Arabic.
