This event should be of interest to anyone working on the 1960s, gender, civil rights, and LGBTQ Studies. Joan Nestle, a former QC student, is a giant in the field — just google her and see. Do not miss this! Joan is an author, teacher, civil rights and LGBTQ activist, QC Alumnae – and founder of the internationally known “Herstory” archives. She was one of the first (and most beloved) QC SEEK teachers – who brought much passion and caring to her teaching of writing and literature. She now lives in Australia and is invited to speak all around the world – and we are lucky for her coming back to QC to visit.
