Are you interested in a career in the museum world but not sure where to start? If you're a college student, graduate student, or recent postgraduate, take your first steps at the Rubin Museum’s Museum Career Workshop.

This free event is an opportunity to meet with museum professionals, learn about the many career paths available to you, and get practical advice for breaking into the industry.

After the event enjoy free admission to the galleries and the Rubin’s K2 Friday Night.

The Apprentice Museum Educator (AME) program at the Rubin Museum of Art provides practical skills to university students interested in careers in the arts or museum education. Program participants develop an understanding of gallery teaching, facilitation of public programs, and museum administration.

AMEs gain a wealth of experience along with opportunities to make connections with members of the Rubin staff, as well as educators and programmers in other institutions.

  • Applications for the June 2017–May 2018 term will be due Saturday, April 15, 2017.
  • Applications for the September 2017–September 2018 term will be due on May 10, 2017.
